Situated in a gated enclave just off the Outer Ring Road, this is a linear site of 40’x75’ The design brief was to design a 4 BHK house with a garden at the rear. We approached the design by breaking the linearity with a central staircase and court. The dining and kitchen face the rear garden so that the garden can be accessed by the dining deck. The daughter’s rooms face the dense foliage of the trees in the first floor. A bay window and high roof is created for the elder daughter. The entertainment areas such as the bar and home theatre/multipurpose room is situated in the second floor facing a huge terrace sit out.
